[modulations |APB - You and Me against The World]

Well, the first leg of the tour has been fun! Certainly enjoying myself!

Unfortunately, my V-kit has finally thrown in the towel at all the gigging and hard-work it's been put to.
Something like 100+ gigs (yes really), rehearsals, two music videos and all the transportation and accidents along the way have taken their toll.

At our Kings Cross gig, my cymbal triggers began to fail, and I had one PD pad fail on one edge completely.
Despite me stripping the pads in an attempt to fix them, they are simply unfixable, completely and utterly worn out.

On top of this, the drum brain is battered with a VERY wobbly volume pot, and the connector for my kick trigger is currently gaffered to the side of the trigger!

Enough, really IS enough.

Reluctantly, in order to raise the money for a new kit I will be putting two of my guitars up for sale in the coming weeks. A transparent blueGibson Les Paul DC, exactly like this:

also my Ibanez RG7620 7 string exactly like this:

It's going to be really tough to see these guitars go, and unfortunately , as I don't play them that often, and as I'm a full-time drummer now, they have to go.

Neither of them have seen much use, and bar one chip on the Ibanez, both are in essentially 'as new condition'.

I'm asking for offers around £875 for the Les Paul DC, and around £650 for the Ibanez

If you know anyone who might be interested in these guitars, please pass this on, Thanks.

point A) i'm absolutely gutted for you mate, i know what it's like when gear you love finally packs it in, i've had it myself recently too

point B) you don't 'arf smack the shit out of them, so you've given it some good innings

point C) i just almost gagged on my cadburys cream egg at the sight of the words "RG7620" and "selling". i would be catching a taxi round with cheque in hand if i wasn't so utterly and chronically shagged by my recent unemployment

...damn

best of luck with it man.

Cheers dude. I'm REALLY fucking lucky that I've managed to get a 'bridging loan' affair sorted out with my parents, otherwise I would be TRULY stuffed.

Still, we've got a BIG discount system sorted out with Roland, so I reckon it's time to treat myself to a TD20 based set-up. Mmmmmmm niiice.

you KNOWS that's going to be the bidniz.

can't remember the make, but our john ran across a kick pedal manufacturer who has created a trigger unit / hammer system that mounts onto the actual pedal, rather than a pad. genius.

let me know if nobody picks up the RG, i'll come and make life size effigies of the cast of cheers out of toothbrushes until you surrender your goods.

Oh yeah, check my 'lektro pad proweSss. Maxxi Beetz = Maxxi HitZ....fur shure.

The guitars will probably be going on e-bay, the Ibanez is back in Notts at the mo.
I'd be very happy to see you have the RG. Why not make me an offer? I won't be offended!

dude, i'd seriously like to see a MASSIVE electro kit be made. i think it's what's been criminally lacking from the future-drum world.

i'd love to make you an offer man, and believe me it's killing me to type this, but i owe so much money at the moment and have zero income to even suggest a deposit. i'm currently using machinochrist's model which i should really buy off him, but it's on the same grounds. arg.

Man, no probs. I TOTALLY understand.

The new setup is gonna rock. It'll essentially be based around an electronic four-piece setup, but I'll also be incorporting the toms and brain from the Simmons kit I bought before Christmas. Been using the Simmons toms on the road and they sound AWESOME!

Rekon I'm gonnna mount all this on a big-ass Gibraltar rack. Get-in :)

Hey Lue!

Well, yep, I'm glad that when I had some disposable income I did put it into instruments that would have some future retail value. Just upset that it's come to having to get rid of them :(

Free CD's will be sent out early next month, am entering all the details into the system today as it happens!
